Raipur(The Uttam Hindu):In a shocking incident in Chhattisgarh, four men, including a school headmaster and two teachers, were arrested for the gang rape of a minor girl. The arrests were made on November 26, 2024, following a complaint lodged by the 17-year-old victim. The case has drawn significant media attention and public outrage due to the involvement of individuals in positions of authority.
Incident Details
>First Assault: The first assault occurred on November 15, when the victim was allegedly taken to the home of one of the accused and raped by the headmaster and two teachers. The victim did not report this incident out of fear.
>Second Assault: The second assault took place on November 22. While on her way to buy groceries, one of the accused threatened her and took her to a rented residence where she was again gang-raped.
Arrests and Charges
The arrested individuals include:
>Ravendra Singh Kushwaha: Headmaster of a government primary school.
>Ashok Kumar Kushwaha: Teacher at a government higher secondary school.
>Kushal Singh Parihar: Another teacher at the same school.
>Banwari Singh: Employee of the Forest Department.
The accused face serious charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, as well as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Inspector General of Police Ankit Garg confirmed that investigations are ongoing to determine if there are additional suspects involved.
