New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has placed a Rs 10 lakh bounty on the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. This action reflects the NIA's intensified efforts to apprehend Anmol, who is linked to organized crime. Authorities are urging the public to provide any information that could assist in locating him. Anmol has been identified as one of the notorious gangsters listed by the Union Home Ministry last year.

In 2023, the NIA filed a chargesheet against 14 individuals, including both Lawrence and Anmol, accusing them of a criminal conspiracy aimed at instigating a wave of terror and executing targeted killings of prominent social figures, including celebrities and businesspeople. The chargesheet also highlighted Anmol's connections to conspirators in Pakistan and pro-Khalistan elements based in Canada, Nepal, and elsewhere.

Anmol has been chargesheeted in two NIA cases initiated in 2022, and investigations revealed that he had fled India using a fake passport. In April, he even claimed responsibility on Facebook for a shooting incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence. Reports suggest that Anmol is currently operating from abroad and has 18 criminal cases against him, including several related to extortion. Notably, he is alleged to have provided weapons and logistical support to those involved in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in May 2022.
