Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): A bomb threat note found on an Indigo flight traveling from Jaipur to Mumbai caused panic. As a precaution, a full emergency was declared at Mumbai Airport at 8:43 PM on Monday night, and the aircraft was safely landed. The flight landed around 8:50 PM, and as per security protocols, the plane has been parked in a remote bay for now. The plane is being inspected, and airport operations have not been affected.

Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSMIA) is actively coordinating with the airline and security agencies. CSMIA stated that the safety of passengers and staff is our top priority. Sources reported that the plane had 225 passengers on board. The bomb threat note was found in the aircraft's restroom, which prompted the emergency landing.

CSMIA issued a statement saying, "A threat note was found on a flight traveling from Jaipur (JAI) to Mumbai (BOM). As a precaution, a full emergency was declared at Mumbai Airport at 8:43 PM. The aircraft safely landed at 8:50 PM. Airport operations were not affected."

It is worth noting that earlier, an Indigo Airlines flight from Mumbai to Varanasi had to make an emergency landing at Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Airport. An airport official confirmed that an elderly passenger died during the flight.

The emergency landing occurred on Sunday night when 89-year-old Sushila Devi, a resident of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, fell ill during the flight. The crew tried to assist her and diverted the aircraft to the nearest airport, but before medical assistance could arrive, her condition worsened, and she passed away.
