Bihar Law and Order Crisis: RJD Questions, BJP Responds Amid Rising Crime Concerns

Bihar (The Uttam Hindu) : The opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has launched a scathing attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar. The RJD has accused the BJP-led government of failing to curb rising crime rates, sparking a war of words between the two parties. RJD leader and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi criticized the government, saying, "The law and order situation in Bihar has completely broken down. The government has failed to protect the lives and properties of citizens. It's time for the BJP to take responsibility for its failures." RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav also echoed similar sentiments, tweeting, "Bihar is witnessing a complete collapse of law and order. The BJP government is busy in propaganda, while the state is burning. It's time for the government to wake up and take concrete actions."
The BJP, however, has hit back at the RJD, accusing the opposition party of politicizing the issue. BJP spokesperson Nikhil Anand said, "The RJD is trying to politicize the law and order issue to gain mileage. But the people of Bihar are not fooled. They know that the BJP government is working tirelessly to improve the law and order situation."
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad also defended the government, saying, "We are taking all necessary steps to improve the law and order situation. We have increased police presence, improved intelligence gathering, and are working to strengthen the justice system." The war of words between the RJD and BJP comes amid rising concerns over crime rates in Bihar. According to official statistics, the state has witnessed a significant increase in crimes such as murder, kidnapping, and robbery over the past year.
The opposition RJD has been demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him of failing to control the law and order situation. The BJP, however, has maintained that the government is committed to improving the situation and will not be swayed by opposition pressure. As the debate continues, one thing is clear: the law and order situation in Bihar remains a major concern, and the government will be under pressure to deliver results.
