Katra (The Uttam Hindu): Devotees of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi have a reason to rejoice as a new convenience is set to be introduced. Every year, a large number of devotees visit Mata Vaishno Devi's shrine between December 31 and January 1. To enhance their experience, a ropeway service is expected to be operational by the end of this year. In addition to the ropeway, pilgrims will soon have access to a yajna (ritual fire ceremony) and family rooms at the shrine premises for the first time. According to reports, the journey from Katra to the Bhawan will become significantly easier with the introduction of the ropeway.

The CEO of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board shared that several projects for 2025 are currently in the pipeline. These include a new Vaishnavi Bhawan equipped with family rooms and an all-weather queue complex, which are expected to greatly benefit pilgrims. To ensure the safety of the large number of devotees visiting the shrine for the New Year, strict security arrangements have also been put in place.

Every year, millions of devotees visit the shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, which is uniquely located amidst mountains and clouds. The temple is considered one of the most challenging pilgrimages in India. Situated in a cave on Trikuta Mountain in Jammu and Kashmir, the Vaishno Devi shrine requires a 12-kilometer uphill trek to reach. Although the journey is arduous, the mesmerizing views and spiritual ambiance of the shrine make it a truly divine experience, attracting countless pilgrims every year.
