Andhra Pradesh Shocker: Mother Kills Son for Alleged Attempt to Rape Aunts

Andhra Pradesh (The Uttam Hindu): A mother in Andhra Pradesh's Prakasam district has been accused of killing her 35-year-old son K. Shyam Prasad, after he allegedly attempted to rape his aunts. The incident occurred on February 13. According to Superintendent of Police A.R. Damodar, the mother, K. Lakshmi Devi and relatives dismembered Prasad's body, which was then disposed of in a canal. Lakshmi Devi is currently on the run, with police launching a manhunt to apprehend her and any accomplices.
In a separate incident, a young woman was acid-attacked in Perampalli village Annamayya district. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu condemned the attack assuring the victim's family of full government support and medical care. Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha and Minister Nara Lokesh also expressed concern and promised action against the attacker. The government has vowed to take strong measures to prevent such crimes and ensure swift justice.
