12th-Grade Student Terrorized 400 Schools, Here’s What Happened
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Delhi Police reported on Tuesday that a 12th-grade student is behind the fake bomb threats sent to 400 schools across the national capital. The accused’s family had been in contact with an NGO opposing the hanging of Afzal Guru. Preliminary investigations indicate that the same student was responsible for sending an email to 250 schools in one go.
According to police officials, investigations are underway to determine whether someone had intentionally involved the student in sending these threatening emails to deliberately disrupt law and order. Police Commissioner Tiwari stated that since February of last year, thousands of fake emails had been sent to schools, and the police have made all possible efforts to trace the sender. He mentioned, "The emails were sent using complicated methods, including VPNs, which made it challenging to trace the origin."
The police first received information about the minor suspect on January 8. After his arrest, it was revealed that the student had sent fake threat emails to over 400 schools.
