New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The bodies of two ITI students who drowned in the Pin Parvati river near Larji in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, were recovered on Friday morning at 7:00 am. The recovery operation, which involved the SDRF and a team of divers from Sundernagar, was completed swiftly in just 10 minutes. In the presence of police and local administration, the bodies were taken out from the river, after which they were sent for post-mortem.

The deceased, identified as Dharmendra (18) of Murah Balachauki and Ghanshyam Singh (18) of Kahra Balichowki, were part of an internship program with the Electricity Board in Larji. On Thursday, while taking a bath in the river, both students drowned due to the deep waters in one section of the river.

The recovery of their bodies was assisted by the local Panchayat and Fire Department. DSP Banjar, Sher Singh, confirmed that the post-mortem is underway, and the bodies will be handed over to the families once the procedure is complete.
