New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A delegation of various organizations of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) met Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Thursday and praised the steps taken by the state government to protect the interests of the corporation employees and thanked him for releasing Rs 10 crore of overtime allowance to the employees.

Agnihotri said on this occasion that the state government understands the problems of the corporation employees very well and is committed towards their welfare. The government is constantly making efforts to fulfill all their legitimate demands and in future also concrete steps will be taken for the welfare of the employees.

He said that earlier he had assured to release the overtime allowance amount soon. The state government has recently released Rs 10 crore as overtime allowance, and Rs 5 crore was released earlier this month, taking the total payment to Rs 15 crore. This amount has been transferred to the employees' accounts.
