New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Police have arrested an accused in the case of fraud of Rs 1.30 crore from seven unemployed youths in the name of getting them government jobs in Tohana of Fatehabad district in Haryana.

According to police sources, the Economic Offences Wing Police has arrested Mohit Kumar, a resident of Dhanashree village in Charkhi Dadri district in this case. According to the police, Vishal, a resident of Dharsool Kalan, had lodged a complaint in December 2024. According to the complaint, brother-in-law Narendra's partner Mohit, Praveen, Sukhwinder etc. took Rs 19 lakh from Vishal in the name of getting him a job in Haryana Police, citing their relations. Later, Vishal also introduced his six other acquaintances to those people and the accused took a total of one crore 30 lakh 50 thousand rupees from them, but neither did anyone get a job nor was the money returned. Sadar police station in-charge Baljeet Singh said on Thursday that the arrested accused has been taken on one-day police remand and interrogation is going on.
