Yamunanagar (The Uttam Hindu): In a major crackdown, the Municipal Corporation sealed six properties, including a gas agency office, for failing to pay property taxes totaling Rs 41,09,556. The properties, located in the Jagadhari and Yamunanagar zones, were sealed after a targeted operation led by teams under ZTO Ajay Walia in Yamunanagar and ZTO Pradeep Kumar in Jagadhari, on the orders of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ayush Sinha.

Among the properties sealed was the Saraswati Gas Agency office, owned by Virendra Singh, located in Shivpuri, Yamunanagar. In the Jagadhari zone, five properties were sealed, including those belonging to Shivam Garg, Kamal Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Meenu, and Nagesh. The properties ranged from mixed-use establishments to commercial and special category properties near key locations like Boodia Gate, Matka Chowk, and Nabh village.

Along with the sealing, the Municipal Corporation issued stern warning notices on the sealed properties. The notice clearly stated that any attempt to tamper with or open the seals without proper authorization would lead to legal action. The move highlights the corporation's commitment to ensuring property tax compliance across the region.

As the crackdown continues, the tale of unpaid dues and strict enforcement serves as a reminder to all property owners in the region about the importance of settling their tax liabilities promptly.
