New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A medium-range western disturbance is set to become active over the northern mountainous regions on Wednesday, increasing humidity in the Arabian Sea and triggering a low-pressure area over southern Punjab and northern Rajasthan, according to weather expert Dr. Chandramohan. This shift is likely to bring cloud cover and light rainfall to Haryana, NCR, and Delhi on February 19 and 20, accompanied by winds of 10-15 km per hour, thunder, lightning and the possibility of light hailstorms in isolated areas.

Despite strong winds, several districts in Haryana experienced bright sunshine on Wednesday. However, temperatures have dropped since Tuesday, prompting a rain alert for the next two days. In Sonipat, the minimum temperature dipped to 7.1 degrees Celsius from the previous day's 10.3 degrees. Jind recorded a high of 26 degrees and a low of 13 degrees, with wind speeds reaching 11 km per hour. Meanwhile, Yamunanagar had clear weather in the morning but a shift is anticipated by 4:30 pm, with maximum and minimum temperatures at 25 and 14 degrees, respectively.

As the weather system advances, fluctuations in temperature and intermittent rainfall are expected to continue affecting the impacted regions.
