Union Minister Hardeep Puri Hosts Special Screening of The Sabarmati Report in New Delhi
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Union Minister Hardeep Puri recently hosted a special screening of the film The Sabarmati Report at PVR Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Anurag Thakur, Member of Parliament; Suresh Gopi, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas; and Ramesh Bidhuri, former MP.
The screening also saw the presence of notable personalities such as producer Ekta Kapoor, producer Amul V Mohan, and actress Ridhi Dogra. Other attendees included BJP leaders Neelkant Bakshi, Impreet Singh, and Harish Khurana, along with various school principals, members of the street vendor association, and senior officials. The film is directed by Dheeraj Sarna, based on the tragic Godhra train burning incident of February 27, 2002, which claimed the lives of 59 passengers aboard the Sabarmati Express. The story follows a journalist's journey to uncover the truth behind the incident while navigating media manipulation and political pressures.
