Hyderabad (The Uttam Hindu): Actor Allu Arjun, along with the makers of "Pushpa 2: The Rule," has extended financial support to the family of a woman who lost her life and her critically injured son in the stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the film's premiere on December 4. A financial aid of ₹2 crore has been announced for the victim’s family.

This announcement was made by Allu Arjun's father and renowned producer, Allu Aravind, after meeting the injured boy, Sri Teja, who is undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital. Speaking to the media, Allu Aravind stated that a ₹2 crore cheque has been handed over to DIl Raju, the chairman of the Telangana State Film Development Corporation. He explained that the film's team collectively decided to provide the financial assistance. Out of the total amount, Allu Arjun contributed ₹1 crore, while the film's producers, Mythri Movie Makers, donated ₹50 lakh. Additionally, the film’s director, Sukumar, also offered ₹50 lakh to the family. Allu Aravind expressed his relief upon hearing from doctors that the boy’s health is gradually improving.

Two days after the tragic incident on December 4, Allu Arjun had announced ₹25 lakh as immediate aid for the family and assured full support for the boy’s medical expenses. Sri Teja's father, Bhaskar, revealed on Tuesday that they received a ₹10 lakh demand draft from Allu Arjun. The actor’s team has been in constant touch with the family to monitor the boy’s condition. Both the Telangana government and Allu Arjun have been actively supporting the family. Bhaskar further mentioned that the Roads and Buildings Minister, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, also extended financial aid by providing a cheque worth ₹25 lakh. Bhaskar shared that after 20 days of treatment, his son showed some signs of movement and even opened his eyes, though he could not recognize anyone.
