New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi) has made an incredible mark in advance ticket sales, crossing the 1 lakh milestone in just 26 hours. As of 4 PM on Sunday, the film has sold over 1.10 lakh tickets across the top three national chains – PVRInox, Cinepolis, and MovieMax. PVRInox leads the pack with 78,000 tickets, while Cinepolis follows closely with 32,000 tickets sold. This rapid pace of ticket sales is one of the fastest ever for a Hindi feature film, surpassing the pre-sales of Stree 2 and Animal. By Wednesday night, Pushpa 2 is expected to surpass the pre-sale numbers of Pathaan and Jawan. There's even a real chance the film could break the all-time pre-sale record set by Baahubali 2, which had 6.50 lakh tickets sold in national multiplex chains. This achievement would mark a historic milestone for the Hindi film industry, nearly eight years after Baahubali 2 set the record.

In addition to its success in national chains, Pushpa 2 is setting new records in single-screen theatres as well, particularly in the North Indian mass markets. With exceptional pre-sale numbers in chains like MovieMax and Rajhans, the film is well on track to break several single-day ticket sales records. MovieMax alone has already sold over 5,500 tickets for the opening day and is targeting up to 30,000 by Wednesday night, surpassing Stree 2’s previous best of 21,780 tickets. Despite a more limited release in Southern India for the Hindi version, Pushpa 2 is expected to perform phenomenally across metros and mass centres. The pre-sale numbers are setting the stage for an epic box office run, with Pushpa 2 poised to take the Hindi film industry by storm in the coming days.
