Bollywood Actor Set to Marry in Intimate Ceremony, Family Left Out Amid Personal Strains

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): Actor Prateik Babbar is set to marry Priya Banerjee soon, but he has not invited his family to the wedding. His father Raj Babbar, brother Arya Babbar, and other family members have not received an invitation to the ceremony.

Prateik has reportedly had a strained relationship with his family for the past six months. His brother Arya Babbar expressed his confusion over why Prateik distanced himself from the family. Arya shared that it has been very heartbreaking and painful for the entire family. He added that while the family made every effort to mend the relationship, perhaps they didn’t do enough.

Arya said, "In these times when everything is virtual, I decided to express my love and best wishes through a virtual route. On behalf of our entire family — mom, dad, and Juhi — I made a special stand-up video on my YouTube channel 'Babbarsab,' titled 'Babbars Keep Getting Married?' This is my light-hearted way to bring a smile to their face and maybe a little warmth to their heart. Whatever happens, we will always remain a family."

Prateik Babbar and Priya Banerjee's wedding will follow traditional rituals, with only close friends in attendance. This will be Prateik's second marriage. He was previously married to Sanya Sagar in 2019, but the couple divorced in 2023. Prateik and Priya have been dating for the past four years. On August 28, 2024, they celebrated their four-year friendship anniversary, sharing a heartfelt message along with a picture on social media.
