New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A man, Mohit Sharma, alleges he was assaulted and had his hand broken by his father-in-law, uncle-in-law, and brother-in-law within a women's police station. The incident stemmed from escalating marital disputes and a dowry complaint filed by his wife, Sunita. Sharma claims the attack occurred during counselling at the Jind Women's Police Station.

Initially, a settlement attempt was made at the Civil Lines Police Station, but Sharma rejected it, stating he was pressured into a compromise and continued to receive death threats. He subsequently filed a complaint with the District Superintendent of Police, leading the Civil Lines Police Station to register a case against his father-in-law, Ramphal, his uncle-in-law, Rohtas, and his brother-in-law, Captain. The police have begun an investigation into the assault.
