Delhi Tragedy: Young Man Commits Suicide Due to Alcohol Addiction

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic incident occurred in Delhi's Paharganj area, where a 23-year-old man, Jasmeet, took his own life. The police received information about the suicide on February 23 at around 11 pm and promptly reached the scene.

According to the police, Jasmeet was a resident of Paharganj and had a history of alcohol addiction, which often led to quarrels with his parents. On February 22, Jasmeet had a heated argument with his mother under the influence of alcohol, which escalated to the point where he attempted to harm her.

Fearing his return and further conflict, Jasmeet's parents locked their house and went to their daughter's residence in Ghaziabad. Meanwhile, a neighbor informed them that someone had tried to break into their home.

When Jasmeet's parents sent a family member, Tejinder, to investigate, he found the lock intact. However, upon entering the house, Tejinder discovered Jasmeet's lifeless body, hanging from the ceiling. It appears that Jasmeet had entered the house through the balcony before taking his own life.
