278 Flying Squads Mobilized to Curb Cheating in Punjab School Board Exams

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Sunday said that in order to prevent cheating in classes 8, 10 and 12 board exams in the state, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has formed 278 flying squads of three members each.
The school education minister said that the flying squads will be led by the District Education Officer (DEO), principals, members of PSEB and members of the academic councils of the boards. These teams will conduct surprise inspections of examination centres to prevent cheating. Bains said that more than 8.82 lakh students will appear in the class 8, 10 and 12 board examinations in the state. He said that this significant number reflects the importance of these examinations in shaping the educational future of the students. He stressed that the government is committed to maintaining the integrity of the examination process and ensuring that every student gets a fair opportunity to demonstrate his knowledge and skills.
