Triple the Screens, Triple the Innovation: Samsung's Foldable Phone is Almost Here!
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Samsung, already a dominant player in the foldable phone market, is gearing up to make waves once again. Industry analyst Ross Young has revealed that Samsung is set to launch its highly anticipated Galaxy Tri-Fold smartphone in early 2026. This groundbreaking device is expected to feature three screens and two hinges, offering users a completely new foldable experience. Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip series have already gained global popularity, making the launch of a tri-fold phone a significant step for the company.
When Will the Tri-Fold Phone Be Released?
According to Young, the Galaxy Tri-Fold is expected to launch soon after the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, which are not likely to arrive before the second half of 2025. Although earlier rumors suggested a 2025 launch, the latest reports indicate the device may now debut by early 2026.
Screen Size and Design
The main display of Samsung's tri-fold smartphone is expected to be between 9 and 10 inches, with the device taking on a rectangular shape when folded. It is believed to feature a unique design with three screens, for which Samsung was recently granted a patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office. At this point, the details are based on rumors, and more information may emerge as the launch date approaches. However, if the rumors are accurate, Samsung will be the first company to release a tri-fold device globally, setting it apart from Huawei, whose similar device is currently limited to the Chinese market. As the foldable smartphone market continues to evolve, the Galaxy Tri-Fold is poised to be one of the most exciting innovations in the coming years.
