New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu):The price of 24-carat gold in Delhi has risen today to Rs 79,813 per 10 grams, reflecting a rise of Rs 810 per gram from the previous day. Similarly, in Mumbai, the price of 24-carat gold stands at Rs 79,667 per 10 grams, while Kolkata reports a rate of Rs 79,665 per 10 grams. In Chennai, the price is slightly lower at Rs 79,661 per 10 grams. For 22-carat gold, the price is Rs 7,317.3 per gram, reflecting an increase of Rs 740.

When looking at the trends over the past week, gold prices have increased by approximately 5.5%, with a month-on-month rise of 2.09%. Compared to last Sunday, November 23, 2024, the price of 24-carat gold in Delhi has gone up from Rs 78,133 to Rs 79,813 per 10 grams.

Silver prices have also seen an upward movement. The current price of silver in Delhi is Rs 95,100 per kilogram, up by Rs 100 from yesterday. In Mumbai, silver is priced at ₹94,400 per kg, and in Kolkata, it is Rs 95,900 per kg. In Chennai, the price is Rs 1,03,700 per kg. Over the past week, silver in Delhi has seen a Rs 1,100 increase from Rs 92,500 per kilogram, while prices in Kolkata and Mumbai have similarly risen.

As for the MCX futures, February 2025 gold futures are currently trading at Rs 78,411 per 10 grams, showing a marginal increase of Rs 1.183, while March 2025 silver futures are priced at Rs 93,127 per kilogram, reflecting an increase of Rs 0.993.

Gold and silver prices are influenced by various factors, including global demand, currency fluctuations, interest rates, and government policies. The strength of the US dollar against other currencies also plays a significant role in shaping the market trends for these precious metals.
