Hyderabad (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic incident occurred on Monday when an 11-year-old boy reportedly died due to choking after consuming more than three pooris during his lunch at school. According to the police, the boy’s father received a call from the school informing him that his son had started experiencing breathlessness after eating the pooris.

The boy, a sixth-grade student, was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital by the school staff. However, after initial examination, the hospital referred him to a super-specialty private hospital for advanced treatment. Despite efforts to save him, doctors at the super-specialty hospital declared the boy dead upon arrival.

The father of the child has filed a complaint with the police, stating that his son’s condition deteriorated after consuming the excessive pooris. The tragic incident has raised concerns about the safety of children during school hours and the potential dangers of overeating.

Authorities are investigating the incident, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to confirm the exact cause of death. The school and hospital staff are cooperating with the police in the investigation.
