Wedding Day Scam: Mother Runs Off with Daughter's Fiancé

Aligarh (The Uttam Hindu): In a stunning turn of events, a woman in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh district has eloped with her daughter's fiancé just nine days before their scheduled wedding. The groom-to-be, who had been visiting the woman's home under the guise of wedding preparations, had apparently fallen in love with his future mother-in-law.

The Elopement

The woman and her daughter's fiancé left their homes together, claiming they were going shopping but they have since gone missing. The family was unaware of the affair and suspicion arose when the girl's father discovered that the wedding jewelry and Rs.2,50,000 cash were missing from the cupboard. The wedding was scheduled for April 16.

Police Investigation

A police report has been filed and authorities are now tracking the pair's phone locations in an effort to locate them. The investigation is ongoing and the family is left to pick up the pieces after this shocking revelation.
