The SP MP had recently met the victim’s family, assuring them that he would fight for justice. During the press conference, while addressing the heinous crime he became extremely emotional and started crying bitterly. Former MP Pawan Pandey, who was seated beside him was seen consoling him and wiping away his tears.

MP Threatens to Resign Over Justice Delay

Expressing his deep anguish, Awadhesh Prasad declared that he would raise the issue in Lok Sabha and demand justice from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He stated,

"If justice is not served, I will resign. We are failing to protect our daughters' dignity. What will history say about us?"
