The advisory says that terrorist activities and armed conflict may take place in these areas, so people should reconsider travelling to Pakistan. The travel advisory also asks Americans not to travel to Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to terrorism. The US said that terrorist organisations are known to be active in these areas. Recently, an incident of violence has come to light in Pakistan's Balochistan. Some unidentified armed men shot dead Balochistan's prominent cleric Mufti Shah Mir late on Friday night in Turbat town of Kech district. Police gave this information on Saturday. He said that the armed men targeted the religious scholar when he was coming out after offering night prayers.
