UPDATE: Farmers’ Protest Intensifies in Punjab: 48 Railway Tracks Blocked, Public Facing Chaos

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Farmers are sitting on dharna at 48 places across Punjab today and this dharna will continue on various railway tracks till 3 pm. During this time the operation of trains is getting affected due to which passengers are facing a lot of trouble. Farmers are sitting on the track since 12 noon, the protest will continue till 3 pm. At many places, women are also standing on the track with flags along with the farmers.

In Punjab, farmers are protesting at Jitwal, Dagru, Moga station, Faridkot station, platform Kadian, Fatehgarh Churian, Batala platform in Moga district, Lohian Khas, Phillaur, Jalandhar Cantt, Dhillon in Jalandhar district, Parmanand platform in Pathankot district, Tanda, Dasuha, Hoshiarpur platform, Madiala and Mahilpur in Hoshiarpur district.
