Trump Unleashes Trade War: Reciprocal Tariffs on India, China, and Others from April 2

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): US President Donald Trump has announced to impose reciprocal tax on many countries including India, China, Mexico from April 2. After which Trump said that 'I had heard some time ago that India is going to make a big cut in its tariff and I had asked why this was not done much earlier?' He said that the decision to increase tariff will improve the policies of many countries. At the same time, Donald Trump has declared April 2 as Liberation Day. He said that Europe has reduced the tax on cars made in America by 2.5 percent. Trump said that you see that the European Union has reduced the tariff on cars by 2.5 percent. It had announced it a few days ago and now this reduction has happened.
Trump was asked whether the tariffs that are going to be implemented as per his announcement will not turn other countries towards China. To this, Donald Trump said that this will not happen. Instead, all countries will be able to make a good policy regarding tax. Right now there is inequality in this policy. Donald Trump said, 'I am not worried about it. I think they really have a chance to do better with the tariffs. This decision will actually help them. I think many of them will reduce their tariffs because they have been imposing arbitrary tariffs on America for years.' However, Trump did not tell how this will happen. He says that this will be the day when America will take revenge for the expensive tariffs. He says that countries like China, Canada, Mexico, Europe and India are imposing more tariffs, while in America there is less tax on their products. This creates inequality. The US economy is bearing the brunt of this. The people here are also suffering losses. Let us tell you that since Trump's announcement, the markets around the world are in a downtrend.
