Gorakhpur (The Uttam Hindu): A young man on Friday killed his grandparents and great grandfather with a sharp weapon in Jangha area of Gorakhpur district in Uttar Pradesh.


Police said that Ramdayal, a resident of Koiran Tola at Motiram Adda, woke up at around 6 am on Friday and picked up a shovel. He first shouted and attacked a buffalo of the house and made it bleed. When his grandfather Kuber tried to stop him from killing the buffalo, he killed him too. In the meantime, when his grandfather Sadhu Maurya (75) came from behind, he killed him and his grandmother (Kuber's wife), due to which all three died on the spot.


He told that the accused Ramdayal brought all the three bodies from the field and kept them at one place on the road and then sat there. Forensic and police team have collected evidence from the spot. Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar Srivastava told that the bodies have been sent for postmortem after preparing a Panchnama. The accused Ramdayal has been arrested and a shovel has also been recovered from him and he is being questioned. The villagers say that Ramdayal is mentally ill
