Tragic Collision in Chhattisgarh: Six Dead, Seven Injured in Devastating Road Crash
Balod(The Uttam Hindu): Six people were killed and seven injured in a tragic road accident in the Dandi police station area of Balod district on Monday. The victims were returning from a naming ceremony when their *Jai-lo* vehicle collided with a speeding truck. According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle was coming from the opposite direction, which caused the accident.
The deceased have been identified as Durpat Prajapati (30) of Gurda (Gundardehi), Sumitra Bai Kumbhkar (50) of Ghoradi (Mahasamund), Manisha Kumbhkar (35) of Ghoradi (Mahasamund), Sagun Bai Kumbhkar (50) of Kumharpara (Kawardha), Imala Bai (55) of Gurda (Gundardehi), and Jignesh Kumbhkar (7) of Gurda (Gundardehi).
Seven people sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident, and were first taken to the Dondi Community Health Center for treatment. They were later referred to Rajnandgaon District Hospital as their injuries were serious. The truck from Dallirajhara was heading towards Bhanupratappur when it collided with another vehicle near Chorahapadav in Dondi. Police sent the bodies for post-mortem and are investigating what caused the accident.
