Tragic Accident: Speeding Truck Collides with Auto, 7 Killed on the Spot, Several Injured

Patna (The Uttam Hindu): A truck hit an auto rickshaw full of passengers late on Sunday night in Masaurhi police station area of ​​Patna district of Bihar. Seven people died in this incident. Some other people are also reported to be injured. According to the police, information was received about a collision between a truck and an auto near the Noora bridge under Masaurhi police station late at night. On receiving the information, the police team immediately reached the spot and the Sub-Divisional Police Officer Masaurhi inspected the spot, where the death of seven persons has been confirmed.

After the collision, the truck came completely on top of the auto. The collision was so severe that the auto was shattered into pieces. All the deceased are said to be labourers. It is being said that all of them had got down at Taregana station after working in Patna and were returning to their homes from there in an auto. Meanwhile, the auto collided with a sand laden truck going towards Pitwans. After this, both the vehicles fell into a water-filled pit on the side of the road.

After getting information about the incident, the police also reached the spot. All the bodies were taken out with the help of the villagers and sent to the hospital for postmortem. There are also reports of some people being injured in this incident, although it has not been confirmed yet. Local people say that every day people from the nearby village used to go to Patna to work as laborers and after working, they used to return to their homes late at night. The police is investigating the matter.
