Tragic Accident in Haryana: Cruiser Falls Into Canal Amid Dense Fog, 10 Missing

Fatehabad (The Uttam Hindu): A horrific road accident has taken place in Fatehabad, Haryana. Due to heavy fog, a cruiser car fell into the Bhakra canal. 10 people have gone missing in this accident.

As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police and local administration reached the spot and started the rescue operation. During this, a 10-year-old child was rescued safely, but the body of 55-year-old Balbir Singh has been recovered.

According to the information, the victims of the accident had gone to attend a wedding ceremony in Punjab and were returning. Due to heavy fog, the vehicle went out of control on the Bhakra Canal bridge near village Khai in Ratia and fell into the canal. Driver Jarnail Singh's life was saved by jumping out of the vehicle, but he fled from the spot.

There was a stir in the village after this accident. A large number of villagers reached the spot and requested the administration for help. The police have registered a case and started investigation. The police say that dense fog could be the main reason for the accident.
