Tragedy Strikes Indian-Origin Family in Virginia: Father and Daughter Shot Dead

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): An Indian-origin father and his daughter working at a convenience store in Virginia, USA, were shot dead. When police arrived at the scene, they found a man unconscious with clear gunshot wounds on his body. The accused in the case, George Frazier Devon Wharton, 44, has been arrested. Paresh Patel, who identified himself as the owner of the store, said both victims were his family members.
He said, "My cousin's wife and her father were working this morning and some men came here and shot them." Pradeep Kumar Patel and his daughter worked at a store in Accomac County located on Lankford Highway in Virginia. The firing incident took place in the store itself. Police received information about the firing at 5.30 am on March 20. When the police reached the spot, Pradeep Kumar Patel (56 years old) was found dead and his 24-year-old daughter was found injured on the spot. Both were shot. The daughter also died during treatment.
