Brazil (The Uttam Hindu): A devastating accident occurred on Saturday in the Teófilo Otoni municipality of Minas Gerais, Brazil, claiming the lives of 38 people when a bus caught fire following a collision. Thirteen others were injured in the crash and have been admitted to nearby hospitals for treatment. The accident occurred when a large block of granite fell off a truck onto the road, causing the bus to collide with an oncoming truck. Following the crash, the bus erupted in flames. In a further tragedy, a car traveling behind the bus also collided with it.
Authorities confirmed that most of the fatalities were due to the fire that broke out on the bus after the collision. Among the injured, three people from the car are in critical condition.
