'This time, I'll send you to heaven, Yamraj will decide your fate', Kharge Targets Amit Shah

Jaipur (The Uttam Hindu): A gathering of Congress leaders took place in Rajasthan's capital Jaipur today. From the stage of 'Samvidhan Bachao Rally', Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot and many other big leaders targeted the central government. During this, Congress President Kharge launched a scathing attack by retorting to an old statement made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
Mallikarjun Kharge mentioned the statement made by Amit Shah in the Parliament in which he said that 'If you had taken Ambedkar's name so much, you would have reached heaven.' Kharge countered this statement and said, "Shah says that if you had taken Ambedkar's name so much, you would have reached heaven, so we have also decided that we will send you to heaven this time." He further said that whether you will get a place in heaven or not, it will be decided by Yamraj. Kharge was directly pointing towards Amit Shah.
Recalling the contribution of Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in the making of the Constitution, the Congress President said that the members of the Constitution making committee themselves believed that if Ambedkar ji had not given time, the Constitution would not have come in this form. He said that BJP leaders say that if you had taken Baba Saheb's name so much, you would have attained heaven.
It is worth mentioning that during the Parliament session last year, Amit Shah had targeted the Congress by mentioning Baba Saheb Ambedkar during the discussion on the Constitution in the Lok Sabha. During that time, he had said, "Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, if I had taken so many names of God, I would have attained heaven for seven lives." However, a part of his statement was cut and made viral on social media, to which the Congress had strongly objected and called it an insult to Ambedkar and demanded an apology from Amit Shah. Today, in the Jaipur rally, Kharge targeted the BJP and Amit Shah by citing the same statement.
