Panchkula (The Uttam Hindu):In a shocking turn of events, Sapna, a female constable with the Chandigarh Police, was found murdered in Panchkula. The accused, her armyman husband Parvinder, has been arrested and charged with murder. According to investigators, Parvinder killed Sapna at their home in Shivalik Vihar, Nayagaon, Mohali, on the night of March 10. He then placed her body in the car and drove around for several hours before abandoning the vehicle in Panchkula, 25 km away. CCTV footage revealed that Parvinder had planned the crime meticulously, switching off the CCTV cameras at their home two days prior to the murder. He also cut the wires of the neighbors' cameras, but some cameras remained operational, capturing the crime.

The footage showed Parvinder leaving the house at 5:18 am with Sapna's body in the car. He was wearing white gloves and had a red blanket on the back seat. Parvinder returned home on foot at 6:34 am and switched on his mobile phone at 6:42 am. Sapna and Parvinder had dinner together on the night of March 10, and the car was seen arriving at their house around 10 pm. Sapna was still active on the Chandigarh Police WhatsApp group on March 12, indicating that she was killed after 10 pm on March 10. The police are investigating the route Parvinder took from Chandigarh to Panchkula and questioning him to determine the motive behind the murder. Preliminary investigations suggest that Sapna may have been poisoned and strangled, with foam found coming out of her mouth and mild injury marks visible on her neck.
