Terrorist Attack Averted! UP, Punjab Police Nab Accused Planning Maha Kumbh Strike

Lucknow (The Uttam Hindu): UP STF and Punjab Police have successfully arrested an active terrorist of Babbar Khalsa International from Kaushambi district in a joint operation. According to the information, 3 hand grenades, 2 detonators, a foreign pistol and 13 live cartridges have been recovered from the arrested terrorist.
UP DGP Prashant Kumar shared the information in a press conference. He said that terrorist Lazar was constantly in touch with ISI. Some handlers sitting in Pakistan were constantly sending him drones, ammunition and arms. DGP said that terrorist Lazar wanted to commit a major terrorist incident in the Maha Kumbh held in Prayagraj. Apart from this, the terrorist had also brought many explosive weapons with him from Pakistan. After hatching a terrorist conspiracy in Maha Kumbh, Lazar was trying to escape to Portugal. DGP said that he had also prepared a plan by staying in Kaushambi, Lucknow and Kanpur to commit a terrorist incident in Maha Kumbh. When the police got information about the terrorist incident, a search operation was conducted. In police action, Babbar Khalsa International terrorist Lazar Masih was arrested from Kaushambi. He has been identified as suspected terrorist Lazar Masih, a resident of Kurliyan village of Ramdas area of Amritsar, Punjab.
Masih, a resident of Kurlian village in Punjab's Amritsar, is reportedly linked to Swarn Singh alias Jeevan Fauji, the head of BKI's German-based module, and was also in direct contact with Pakistan-based ISI operatives. During the operation, the UP STF recovered a cache of explosives and illegal weapons, including three active hand grenades, two active detonators, one foreign-made Norinco M-54 Tokarev pistol (7.62 mm), thirteen foreign-made cartridges (7.62×25 mm), white colour explosive powder, Aadhaar card, mobile, etc.
