Violence Erupts During India's Victory Celebration: Clashes Near Mosque, 4 Injured

Indore (The Uttam Hindu): A celebratory rally in Mhow's Jama Masjid area following India's Champions Trophy win turned violent on Sunday night, resulting in stone pelting and arson. The rally, which started with joyous celebrations, reached near the Jama Masjid, where people were offering namaz. A dispute between two groups escalated quickly, leading to clashes, injuries, and damage to property.
According to police, the altercation intensified with stone pelting from both sides. Several shops and vehicles were set on fire. Authorities swiftly deployed police forces to restore order. Indore Collector Ashish Singh confirmed that the situation is under control but refrained from providing further details, promising to address the incident later.
DIG Nimish Aggarwal explained that the violence followed a dispute during the rally, which led to the chaos. The area is now calm, but tensions remain high.
