Teen Returns Home Late, Beaten to Death by Drunken Father in Hyderabad

Hyderabad (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic incident unfolded in Choutuppal, Hyderabad, where a 15-year-old boy lost his life after being brutally assaulted by his intoxicated father for returning home late on Saturday night.

The deceased, identified as Bhanu, a Class 9 student, had attended a farewell party at school. Upon his return his father, Saidulu, who was under the influence of alcohol, became enraged over his son's late arrival. In a fit of anger, he repeatedly assaulted Bhanu causing the boy to lose consciousness.

Family members rushed him to the hospital but doctors declared him brought dead. Authorities confirmed that Saidulu was intoxicated at the time of the attack.

Following a complaint lodged by Bhanu's mother, police have registered a case against Saidulu under charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The investigation is underway.
