FIR Filed Against 400 People for Molesting a Woman – Here’s What Happened

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A young woman residing in a society in Ghaziabad's Rajnagar Extension has accused around 400 people from a neighbouring society of molestation and assault. According to the police, the incident occurred near the Windsor Society gate, where residents had gathered to protest against feeding stray dogs.
The woman reported that on the night of March 6, at approximately 11:45 pm, she heard loud noises coming from Windsor Society. After observing the commotion for some time, she went there to investigate. Allegedly, upon her arrival, the crowd turned hostile, shouted at her, and began pushing and shoving her. The woman claims that during the altercation, members of the crowd inappropriately touched her, pulled her hair, and physically assaulted her.
She further alleged that some women in the crowd incited others by labelling her a "child thief," escalating the situation. The woman has filed a complaint at the Nandgram police station, urging action. ACP Poonam Mishra confirmed that a case of assault, molestation, and threats has been registered against 400 unidentified individuals based on her complaint.
Meanwhile, residents of the society have also filed a counter-complaint against the woman, accusing her of verbally abusing a community member over the phone. The investigation is currently underway.
