SGPC Rejects Harjinder Singh Dhami’s Resignation, Urges him to stay

Ambala (The Uttam Hindu): The interim committee of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has refused to accept the resignation of its president, Harjinder Singh Dhami and has urged him to continue in his role.

Dhami had resigned from the 7-member committee overseeing the Shiromani Akali Dal’s membership drive of which he was the president. He had informed the Jathedar about his decision in a letter.

Following Dhami’s resignation former SGPC president Kirpal Singh Badungar also stepped down from the same committee. He questioned how the remaining members could continue their work without the committee’s president.
