Punjab Pastor From Viral 'Yeshu Yeshu' Video Faces Sexual Harassment Case

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A sexual harassment case has been filed against a pastor in a village in Punjab's Jalandhar district, according to police reports on Sunday. The complainant, a woman, stated that she and her parents have been regular visitors to the church since October 2017. Pastor Bajinder Singh, who gained attention through the viral 'Mera Yeshu Yeshu' video, allegedly took her mobile number and began sending her messages. The woman claimed that she was scared of him and was unable to confide in her parents.
In 2022, Singh was accused of inviting her into a cabin at the church on Sundays, where he allegedly hugged and touched her inappropriately. Singh, who has a significant social media following with content featured on platforms like YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, has also been endorsed by several celebrities, including actors Chunky Pandey and Aditya Pancholi.
Police have registered a case against Singh under Sections 354 A (sexual harassment), 354 D (stalking) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
