New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Friday visited the Raghuvir Nagar area near Guru Gobind Singh Hospital. During his inspection of the roads and nearby areas, he appeared in action mode and issued strict orders to remove illegal roadside eateries (dhabas) and coal-based tandoors immediately.

Speaking on the occasion, Sirsa said that illegal dhabas, unauthorized parking, and banned coal tandoors that contribute to pollution must be removed without delay. "They should be sealed today itself, and their electricity meters will be disconnected. Our goal is to make Delhi a developed and beautiful city," he stated.

On the question of pollution control measures by the Delhi government, Sirsa said that the government is preparing to take major steps. Vehicles older than 10 to 15 years entering Delhi will receive an alert message upon entry, warning them that their entry is not permitted. "We will send advisory messages in advance, requesting people not to bring such vehicles into the city. We are installing 1,000 geo-tagged water sprinklers for dust control," he added.

Responding to a question about loudspeakers, Sirsa said all religious communities must follow the Supreme Court's guidelines regarding their use. "This is not about religious politics. All communities must adhere to the directions laid down by the Supreme Court," he said.

Regarding the presence of a leopard in Delhi, Sirsa said that along with other beautiful wild animals like deer and nilgai (blue bulls), leopards also reside in Delhi. "To ensure their safety, we are installing motion-activated surveillance cameras and creating waterholes in various locations, so they do not enter the city in search of water," he said.
