New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale has stated that the organization will not prevent its volunteers from participating in efforts to restore the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi and the Srikrishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura. However, he also emphasized the "futility" of excavating temples beneath mosques, citing the potential for increased hostility and resentment in society. Hosabale noted that focusing on the past could distract from pressing issues like eliminating untouchability, instilling values in youth, and preserving culture and languages. He also highlighted concerns about conversions, cow slaughter, and love jihad, emphasizing the need for a strong and organized Hindu society.

Regarding the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, Hosabale clarified that the RSS did not initiate it, but rather supported the efforts of sadhus, saints, and mathadhipatis to reclaim the site. He also questioned the notion of searching for Hindutva in stone structures, instead advocating for reviving Hindu roots within individuals and communities. On the topic of casteism, Hosabale argued that it is incorrect to say that caste is necessary to maintain diversity. He emphasized that caste becomes a problem when used to discriminate or determine political power. Finally, Hosabale discussed the concept of 'Akhand Bharat,' stressing that it is not just about geographical unity, but also requires a strong and organized Hindu society to achieve.
