New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking revelation has been made in the murder case of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddiqui. The main shooter Shivkumar Gautam has told in his confession to the police that notorious gangster Anmol Bishnoi had ordered the murder of Siddiqui due to his 'connection with Dawood Ibrahim and involvement in the 1993 Mumbai blasts'. The main shooter Shivkumar Gautam told the police that he was asked to kill Baba Siddiqui or his son Zeeshan Siddiqui and for this he was promised Rs 15 lakh.

Gautam said he was told that Siddiqui had links with Dawood Ibrahim and was involved in the 1993 Mumbai blasts, due to which he should be killed.

Police investigation and arrests

The Mumbai police have filed a chargesheet in Siddiqui's murder case, blaming a crime syndicate led by Anmol Bishnoi for the killing. The police have arrested over 25 accused in the case, including the shooter, conspirators and others. The chargesheet states that Anmol Bishnoi planned the murder to avenge the death of his associate Anuj Thapan.

Baba Siddiqui (66) was shot dead by three assailants outside his son Zeeshan Siddiqui's office in Mumbai's Bandra East area on October 12. The shooter, Shivkumar Gautam, used to collect scrap in Pune. Harish Kumar Kashyap, who runs a scrap shop, had arranged for his stay, where he met Praveen Lonkar and his brother Shubham Lonkar. Shubham Lonkar told the shooter that he and his brother worked for the Bishnoi gang. In June 2024, Shubham told him and Dharmaraj Kashyap that they would be given Rs 10 to 15 lakh if ​​they worked on his instructions.
