Rakhi Sawant Summoned by Maharashtra Cyber Cell Over 'India’s Got Latent' Controversy

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): Rakhi Sawant, who is embroiled in the India's Got Latent controversy, has been summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. The police may question her in connection with this case. Rakhi has been a judge on the show 'India's Got Latent'. Her short videos also went viral on social media. Rakhi Sawant also released a video in her defense after being summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. On the social media platform Instagram, she said, "There is no point in summoning me friends. You video call me, I am ready to answer all your questions. I am an artist. I was called for an interview by paying money and I have just given the interview. I did not even abuse anyone. There is no point in summoning me."
The drama queen even called herself a beggar. She said, "I am a beggar, I don't have even one rupee to give you. I live in Dubai. I don't have any work. I can't even give you money. What will you do by calling me, there is no benefit. I am requesting. I have not committed any crime. I am a white collar worker."
According to the information, Ranveer Allahabadia, Apoorva Mukhija and Samay Raina, accused in the ongoing controversy over 'India's Got Latent', are in touch with Maharashtra Cyber. Their statements will be recorded on February 28. They will go to the Maharashtra Cyber office to record their statements. All of them will reach at the time given by the officials and record their statements.
It is known that after YouTuber-podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia's obscene comment on the show 'India's Got Latent', Samay Raina had removed all the episodes of the show from YouTube. The Supreme Court had forbidden the podcaster and his associates from broadcasting any show on YouTube or other platforms until further notice.
Recently, Raina wrote on the social media platform X, "It is very difficult for me to handle whatever is happening. I have removed all the videos of 'India's Got Latent' from my channel. My only intention was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all the agencies to ensure that their investigation is completed impartially."
