Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking report has revealed a conspiracy to terrorize Punjab once again, reminiscent of the 1984 violence. The National Security Agency (NIA) has shared this alarming information with the Punjab Police, claiming that terrorist groups are plotting major attacks, particularly targeting police stations in the state. So far, grenade and IED attacks have been carried out at five police stations, prompting the NIA to intensify surveillance on the region. The report suggests that Khalistani terrorists are adopting tactics from the "dead drop model," a strategy used during the 1984 attacks, where local operatives, familiar with the area, carry out targeted killings under the guidance of foreign handlers.

The NIA has identified that groups like the Khalistan Tiger Force and Babbar Khalsa International, along with other terrorist organizations, are utilizing Chinese-made devices for making explosives and carrying out attacks using AI technology. These sophisticated devices, some of which are used by foreign armies, point to a dangerous collaboration with Pakistan's ISI. The agency believes that these groups are working in unison to destabilize Punjab and create widespread fear, using advanced tools to carry out their deadly missions.

The recent uptick in attacks underlines the severity of the situation. On December 5, a powerful grenade blast rocked the Majitha police station in Amritsar, shattering windows and injuring no one, but marking a significant escalation. Terrorists Happy Pasiya, Gopi Navanshaharia, and Jeevan Fauji claimed responsibility for the attack in a Facebook post. Similar incidents occurred on November 28, with a grenade blast in Gurbakhsh Nagar, and an IED planted outside Ajnala police station, which failed to detonate due to a technical fault. CCTV footage from Ajnala showed two individuals planting the IED, further highlighting the growing threat posed by these terror groups.
