Police Recover Firearms: .32 Bore Pistol, 12 Bore Pump-Action Gun and Live Cartridges

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In a major intelligence-led operation, the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Mohali successfully dismantled a significant module of Pakistan-based BKI terrorist Harvinder Singh @ Rinda’s network, which operates under the backing of Pakistan’s ISI. The operation led to the arrest of the following individuals:
1. Jagjit Singh @ Jaggi, a resident of Nanded, Maharashtra, who has been implicated in multiple criminal cases in the state.
2. Shubham Khelbude, a resident of Bandghat, Wajirabad, Nanded, Maharashtra.
3. Gurdeep Singh @ Deepa, a resident of Raipur, PS Nurpur Bedi, District Ropar, who had been providing shelter and logistical support.
Jagjit Singh played a crucial role in coordinating logistics, arranging safehouses, and facilitating the movement of shooters involved in the Nanded murder on February 10, 2025. This murder was masterminded by Rinda, who operated from across the border.
Investigations have also revealed the involvement of jailed gangster Dilpreet @ Baba, an old associate of Rinda. Dilpreet had arranged safe houses in Punjab for the accused individuals.
During the operation, the police recovered:
- One .32 bore pistol with 8 live cartridges
- One 12 bore pump-action gun with 15 live cartridges
This operation has dealt a significant blow to a well-coordinated terror and crime syndicate that operated across multiple states under the direction of a BKI terrorist. A case has been registered at PS SSOC, Mohali, and further investigations are ongoing.
The Punjab Police remains resolutely committed to dismantling such inter-state terror and crime networks.
