Pastor Bajinder Singh Embroiled in New Controversy: Accused of Assaulting Woman

Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): Pastor Bajinder Singh of 'The Church of Glory and Wisdom' in Tajpur village is embroiled in controversy once again. A CCTV footage has emerged, showing him allegedly assaulting a woman, which has sparked widespread discussion. This incident comes on the heels of an unresolved case of sexual harassment against the pastor.
The CCTV footage, reportedly from Chandigarh, shows Pastor Bajinder Singh first throwing an object at some youths and then attacking a woman. He is seen slapping the woman and grabbing her neck. The incident occurred in the pastor's office room, where a child and three women were also present. According to the CCTV timing, the incident took place on February 14 this year at 2:20 pm. The footage shows Bajinder Singh engaging in a heated argument with the woman before losing his temper and attacking her. The people present in the room intervened, pushing the pastor back.
The pastor and the Tajpur Church have not issued any clarification on the incident. This new development has added to the ongoing controversy surrounding Pastor Bajinder Singh.
SIT Probes Sexual Harassment Case
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) is currently investigating a case of sexual harassment filed against the pastor. The Kapurthala police had registered an FIR against him, and the SIT includes SP Phagwara Rupinder Kaur Bhatti, DSP Deep Karan Singh, and City Police Station SHO Vikramjit Singh.
Woman's Account of Alleged Misbehavior
In the FIR, the complainant woman alleged that Pastor Bajinder Singh had misbehaved with her in Jalandhar. She claimed that her parents had started attending the church in October 2017, and the pastor had taken her phone number, sending her inappropriate messages. The woman alleged that in 2022, the pastor started making her sit alone in a cabin in the church, where he would misbehave with her.
