New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A significant update has been announced regarding the registration for the Kedarnath-Badrinath, Gangotri and Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra. This year, the registration process will be linked to the Aadhaar card. The registration will begin once the Aadhaar-related formalities are completed. According to the tourism department, they are awaiting approval, and registrations will be initiated once the process is finalized.

The dates for the opening of the Char Dham temples have been set, but the opening dates for the Gangotri and Yamunotri temples are still to be confirmed. In the meantime, the registration process will commence once the registration portal is made available.

The tourism department has indicated that the registration could begin anytime between March 15 and March 20, but it might take some time before the official registration opens. This year, the process is being linked to Aadhaar and it is still in progress.

The tourism department is awaiting the completion of the technical procedure. Tourism Secretary Sachin Kurve mentioned that all preparations have been completed and only the final step of linking with Aadhaar remains. Once the formalities are finished, an official announcement will be made regarding the start of registration.
