Meeting of Protesting Farmers Concludes, Dallewal Arrives on Stretcher

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu)- The 5th round of talks between the delegation of agitating farmers and the Central Government has ended after about 3 hours. During this, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi has expressed concern over the health of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal. Sarwan Pandher warned that if a solution is not found in the meeting, the farmers will march to Delhi.
According to the information, now the next meeting will be held on 22 February. 28 farmer leaders attended the meeting from the farmers' side. According to sources, the meeting took place in a very good atmosphere. Let us tell you that farmers have been agitating on the Shambhu and Khanauri border of Haryana-Punjab since February 13, 2024 for the law of guarantee of minimum support price on crops and other demands. Jagjit Dallewal from the United Kisan Morcha (non-political) and Sarwan Pandher of Kisan Mazdoor Morcha are leading the delegation. Dallewal, who has been on a hunger strike at Khanauri border for 81 days, reached Chandigarh in an ambulance. He has been brought to the conference hall on a stretcher. Union Food Minister Prahlad Joshi from the Center, Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Khuddian and Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak from the Punjab government are present.
